Lots of good information about the German Shorthair’s physical characteristics, hunting ability, and emotional makeup.

Beautiful dog. Our chocolate lab has (champion) hunting dogs in his line for generations and only recently did I learn about this and come to appreciate this aspect of these dogs. Loved their playfulness, their gentleness, but this new side is wonderful to appreciate. I see the same grace when ours walks or runs as when yours does. Lovely to behold. Ours is 10 now and going strong.
What do you mean by bred for “fur and feather”?
A pity that more people don’t understand that background and history of their dogs, their unexplored nature! I think people freak out when they hear “hunting” but truly these dogs are beautiful – and in our urban culture – misunderstood. So it’s nice to see and hear your video.
Yes, it’s a commitment!!!
